TV and entertainment is an everyday focus for many. The notion is that the music and entertainment industry is a business like any other, but often the only aspects considered "newsworthy" by the media are the excesses, egos and eccentricities of today's popular musicians, actors, entertainers and sports stars. Lost amidst the "glamour" is the crucial need for people skilled in marketing, accounting, fashion, merchandising, transportation, security, journalism and management, to mention only a few.
In any major industry - whether production, service based or other - we all end up employing young impressionable people for the future of our workforce. Part of possible employment will be based on a person’s performance in an interview and how they act once they have the applied for the job. Practical sense and being a true team member are qualities almost as important as any academic qualification but this is still something not taught in schools. It’s amazing how many young students and members of today's workforce do not understand the power of "Please and Thank You".
